There are 5000 folks in Golden Bay and together we use approx. 1 million plastic shopping bags every year - that is almost one bag per person per day; contributing to the approx. 1.2 billion plastic shopping bags used every year by our 4million New Zealanders!! Doing away with plastic shopping bags is easier than you think.

With petrol prices on the rise, carpooling (or ride-sharing) is becoming a more attractive option for many people. If you are going somewhere and don't want to or can't drive, check here to see if anyone is going too! Perhaps you could share a ride and therefor save petrol and money and ultimately, perhaps, make a little contribution to keeping the planet a little greener.
